Thank Goodness it’s … Only Thursday? October 3, 2008

This week has seemed to go on forever!  Yesterday the boss was away to a wedding in Vegas, and I went in to the office to man the phones, catch up on paperwork and, well, knit.  I didn’t do any knitting at all, but I did finish my paperwork.  The phone never rang at all, so it was quite the boring day at work.  I don’t know how I managed to stay as long as I did!

Monday the boss and I did a meditation with a patient before lunch, as we were all feeling a bit out of sorts and kinda “Beside ourselves,” literally.  I felt like I was only observing myself, and I couldn’t concentrate on anything.  We centered ourselves during the meditation and I felt much better afterwards. 

Today on my way home from work, I was “Talking” to one of my angels, who has been strangely “Quiet” in recent weeks.  I asked for a sign, some kind of sign, ANY kind of sign,so I’d know if he was still with me.  A car darted in front of me, and lo and behold, my angel’s initials (D.F.) were on the license plate.  I muttered “Geeze, could you be any more blatant about it?”  Had to chuckle – because no sooner had I thought “Give me a sign” than one was placed right in front of me.  No, I’m not some lunatic  who walks drives the streets talking to an angel no one can see (I can’t even see him) and I rarely ever speak to him out loud.  Normally I just “think to him”  and get my answers.  All those who now think I’m a freak, raise your hands!  :::Counting …:::

I finally finished the back of the sweater I am making.  Eh.  Not too sure if I am going to like the end product.  I started the front last night and have worked a few inches so far today.  I’m hoping to hurry up and get it finished so I can move on to other things.

This weekend I need to go through my stash of Christmas gifts and figure out what I have, and what I still need to buy.  The daughters in law are so easy to buy for, I keep seeing things  I want to buy for them!  The sons are giving me the most trouble.  Bryce finally gave me a list (How boring, another CD Christmas for the most part, though I have picked up a few other things for him.)  I have one idea for Blaine, and I bought Brock a few trivia type books so far.  I’m so far behind!!

Mit-Marie is finally moving back into her house after the fire.  She’s been going crazy wanting to be back home.  It’s no fun when you’re staying with someone else for so long, even if it is your sister.  I know I would just want to be home with my “Stuff.”
